Created Perfect!

Genesis 1:5-7

5 and every of the plant[1] field before[2] it was in the earth, and every green plant of the field before it sprang up[3], because (The Lord) Yahweh God hadn’t (yet) caused it to rain over the land, and Adam wasn’t (there) to work the ground[4]. 6 And a mist[5] went up from the land, and watered[6] the whole face of the ground[7]. 7 And (The Lord) Yahweh God formed[8] the man of dirt[9] from the ground[10], and He breathed[11] the breath[12] of life into his nostrils[13] and Adam became a living soul.

Application

There was no rain in the initial creation, but a mist was present, and it watered the whole face of the earth.  It appears that God put this mist in place before any green plants sprung up, and before Adam was there to work the ground.  Yahweh God had thought of everything.  Nothing was missing, and there were no mistakes.

The final piece to the puzzle was creation of Adam.  God made Adam, not by speaking him into existence, which He had done for everything else, but by moulding him out of the dirt on the ground, and then breathing His own breath into Adam’s nostrils.  I’ve seen some pretty cool sand and dirt sculptures, but I’ve never seen any of them come to life, breathing, walking and talking.

What cause God to ever create man out of the dust of the earth?  I don’t know, but Adam was made that way, and he became a living soul.

I’m reminded that Adam was created perfect, functional and eternal.  He wasn’t designed to decay and expire.  He didn’t have a use-by date.  Only sin and separation from God brought death into the world, but eternal life is restored through God, the Christ, Jesus, my Saviour.

Prayer

Father, please help me to understand You more and better.  Please guide me so that I make good and godly decisions.  Help me to trust those whom you have put over me, and please protect me and my family from pain brought upon us in the past. In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
